We arrived at 6 p.m. because we wanted to catch one of the last ferries in Puttgarden. We got a very nice outdoor seat and ordered some food from the daily menu. After waiting for almost an hour, we discreetly asked where our food was. The friendly, young waitress then asked the kitchen and told us the food would be here in a few minutes. Well, it came very quickly, but unfortunately one dish wasn't as ordered. We kept it anyway. The kitchen had probably forgotten something. Bei gutem Wetter haben wir auf der Terrasse Pizza gegessen. Die Pizzen haben geschmeckt und waren ganz normaler Durchschnitt wie halt so eine Pizza sein sollte. Nicht besser, aber auch nicht schlechter als woanders. Man kann also durchaus noch mal hingehen. Die Terrasse und die Tische sind etwas schmucklos und könnten sicherlich mit Deko oder Blumenkübel optisch aufgepeppt werden. Drinnen waren wir nicht, von daher keine Beurteilung möglich. We ate at Al Mare on Sunday. In my opinion, they had the most delicious pizza I've ever eaten. We got a great table outside without a reservation. The service was great, and the food came to the table really quickly. We enjoyed it so much that we went back on Tuesday and were completely impressed again. I can only recommend Al Mare; it's the perfect restaurant for a great end to the day on the Baltic Sea.
A long-established Italian restaurant in Heiligenhafen. Many locals also enjoy it. The food is very good. I really like the minestrone, but the pizzas are also fantastic. The service is very fast, and dogs are welcome. You should make a reservation in advance or come later when the tourists are already tired. We liked it and will always be an option for us.
