The staff here is amazing. It's a family run business and it feels like it. I hadnt tried the business before it closed but everything looks so nice and new. I will come back and try the grinders since that's what everyone seems to rave about. My opinion of the pizza is that it's okay but doesn't blow my socks off. When I went to pick up a slice all the ingredients slid right off the dough. The baked spaghetti wasn't anything special. The food is expensive but I am not docking a star for that. Inflation is crazy, everything is expensive and staff is hard to retain so you have to pay higher wages. But I had higher expectations. Was up visiting family they had heard great things about the “grinder” sandwiches at this place so we though “when in Rome”...we placed our to go order. Was told 25 minutes it was pretty close to that. Order was well packaged. It was quick very good customer service when paying. The food was good the sandwiches were a good size for the price. The cheese pizza was also good size for the price. We had a club grinder (add bacon), pastrami grinder, roast beef grinder pepperoni grinder for 5 adults. Don’t think you can wrong with any of the grinder options. Give it a shot.

Update: the remodel is great! Go and support Athens. It is a fantastic neighborhood joint worthy of your support and worth the drive from anywhere. Great food and even more amazing staff! The grinders are the best! The bread is toasted perfectly, plenty of meat and cheese and so flavorful. It was the first time my girlfriend had eaten there and she was blown away by the cold cut grinder. No kidding--they are that good!! They have indoor and outdoor seating plus take out.

Great homestyle Greek and Italian dishes. Been going there for 25 years... Yum! It has changed. After being closed for 16 months due to fire, it has reopened. The interior and exterior has had a beautiful refresh and update. The food is wonderful as always.

This place is amazing! I've been coming here for year's. Don't forget to try the Pastrami Grinder there delicious.
