After a long, hot afternoon and evening at Wildpark Potzberg, we stopped here on the way home. The waitress' English was great, and she brought the English menus (not necessary after 2 years, but nice). My wife loved the sweet white wine, and I always enjoy a dunkel heffeweizen. My wife had a turkey steak special on a bed of fresh veggies with goat cheese on top. My pork steak, over baked with cheese and covered with mushrooms was the most tender schwein I've had in Germany (besides what I cook, myself). My son's cordon blue was NOT over cooked like most places, and the chicken nuggets for my picky daughter at least had a dent made in them. The bread was delicious French-style baguette. Comp...

Der Landgasthof Bauernstube mit stets sehr freundlichem Team, befindet sich in Matzenbach, bei Glan-Münchweiler, Kreis Kusel. Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet, gleichbleibende Qualität seit Jahren! Wir hatten ein Gemüseschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und Beilagensalat für 12,50,- Eu. ein Rumpsteak mit Zwiebeln, Champignons, Bratkartoffeln auch mit Beilagensalat für 17,50,- Eu, war alles sehr lecker. Auf Sonderwünsche bei der Bestellung wurde eingegangen. Die Preise für das Essen, große Portionen und die Getränke sind sehr gut. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder und empfehlen den Landgasthof Bauernstube deshalb sehr gerne weiter!

My favorite restaurant in the Rhineland-Pfalz area. Awesome shnitzels, great steaks, huge portions, all for very reasonable prices. When the weather is nice, the patio is quite lively. Very popular with bicyclists stopping for a meal along the Glan-Blies Wanderweg (bike trail). Servers were really friendly! Love the complimentary little after dinner shnapps, I believe it is made locally up the road. The restaurant is kind of in the middle-of-no-where, but it's a beautiful middle-of-no-where and it's a pleasure to drive through the verdant hills and friendly little villages.

A lady highly recommended Bauernstube, so my wife and I decided to give it a try. The overall consensus was "meh". The decor was kind of typical. We chose to sit outside, and that proved to be nothing special. Our waitress was quite friendly and helpful. I decided on the Zwiebeschnitzel (onion schnitzel), which was tasty. But honestly, it's just schnitzel smothered in caramelized onions. Hard to screw up. My wife went with the Parmasenschnitzel. It reminded off us a Swanson's frozen dinner. Auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant sind wir auf die Bauernstube gestoßen. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich eingerichtet und wir wurden sehr nett empfangen. Es gibt landestypische Spezialitäten zu fairen Preisen. Die Qualität war sehr gut und wir kommen definitiv wieder, wenn wir in dieser Gegend sind.

Since the Bauernstube is only a couple towns away from our house we've been here multiple times. If you want authentic and great German food, that's the place to go. I don't say that often, since I'm German and I don't like German food at the most restaurants.

Empfehlung für jeden mit Hunger, oft gut besucht aber man findet meist einen Platz. Biergarten mit Schaukel für die Kinder.
