We had just been remembering our brazilian holiday, so our choice for the night fell on this restaurant, situated next to the central train station in Kiel. Plus point for being opened on Monday night and offering the Churrasco (traditionally served at the table on huge skewers... all you can eat). We ordered it for 4 people. The salad buffet is very fresh and offers excellent variety: additionally to purely veggie salads, also some cheese, bruschettas, spanish omelette etc... We were then served some side-dishes: beans, potatoes, mushrooms, rice. We paid 44 € for a tiny piece of turkey (that I'm pretty sure was chicken...) and beef topped with Serrano ham and ... Cheese? The food was bland and over cooked.The Brazilian beans we ordered on the side were few and far apart, most of the contents in the bowl they served us was thin "soup". The baked potato had been drowned in sour cream. My poor Brazilian girlfriend left the place horrified by the poor food we got there. early evening meal for hungry men. we hadn't booked a table, but we were quickly accommodated. friendly and efficient staff. we chose the all-you-can-eat meat served on a heavy meal. this included a well-stocked and well-presented salatable and a small...desserts counter. after the main meal they do not need more than a small dessert. included in the price of the All-you-can-eat is an additional choice of the side, whether it is chips, jacket kartoffel or others. one of our party is very special about eating, and even he found eating very appetit, tasty and pleasant with a good choice.
This week I was at the cabana for lunch with my mom and it was as good as usual. We had one of the lunchtime meals that come with either a soup or dessert for € 6.50 and you allways get bread and dip for starters. What I like best about this place is that they serve lunchspecials until 4.30 pm and even on weekends. We've been here on various occasions with Family, friends or on Business and it was always Money well spend - good Food for a small Budget. So far the only thing we did not try yet is breakfast. Service is not bad but also not their strongest asset.

this place is known that it is in place and when they ask the locals they have told them about it. the steaks were great. we had different types and everyone was happy. the large portions of the side dishes and the carving at the table...was a nice little tasty bite. the next time we're in kiel. very to recomend it for a large steak menu. they also had large milkshakes. they also have great lunches, which spread out in the early afternoon, so if they are ready for an early evening meal, there are great worth, more or less half price on the steaks.
We visited them 3,4 times as they open on Sunday and close to where we live. They price are a little high for what they offer. But it's OK. The staff there not very attentive, have to wait for long time for them. Always. They are not very friendly but not rude either... I would say... they are a bit boring. Foods are not bad. We liked the meats. We normally just drink beers. So can't judge. For us its a eat and go restaurant. Nothing so special . I have beem better Brazilian restaurant before.
Been here a few times. The Gaucho special is the best deal. For £15.40 you get all you can eat salad bar which does have some hot food. You also get wings, chicken and ribs served gaucho style and fried banana for desert. Great deal very tasty. Personally I don't like the steaks in Europe but some of my friends recomend it.

This is realley the best place if you want to have a dinner with friends in Kiel on business trip. Suggest to take buffet as it has salad, grill, barbecue and dessert included. And of course - german beer! Excellent. Will come again. And again.
