Cafe de Pays Le Saint-Manvieu

We met Arnaud and Viktorija Lefevere whilst on holiday in Normandy this year,both English speaking. The small restaurant, about 20 covers, was simply furnished in front of a huge fireplace, not alight at our visit in July. The Menu, changing daily was priced at between 11- 12 euros four courses in addition to cheese, wine, cider and coffee.All food prepared and cooked by Vicky and served by Arnaud was delicious, included pates, meats and fish, a selection of puddings and sweets of the day.This tabac is part of the Community and patronised by friendly locals and visitors alike, parking is directly opposite by the church.

La Gouaille served us, to the note, exactly the type of vegetable soup my (non-French) grandma would serve before every dinner when I was growing

The place has a lot of charm, the service was friendly, prices are reasonable, but the food was mediocre at best.

I stopped in here after looking for places to eat later than the typical French dinner time.
