Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House Plano

The Sommelier has no scruples. I ordered a $190 bottle of wine but was offered the next year vintage because the vintage I ordered from the wine menu was no longer available. Even though the vintage I was offered was not listed on the menu (and no clarification of price was mentioned), the price on tab turned out to be $375 instead of $190. This is unacceptable for an establishment such as Del Frisco’s. I might add that my wife started with a menu with food stains on it and our surf and turf trio filets (we ordered 3 of them) came with all 3 seafood toppings over cooked (at least the filets were cooked wonderfully as I would expect from Del Frisco’s). We were thankful to have a nice restaurant to eat Christmas dinner at but we were disappointed overall. When seated, the booth was dirty from previous diners. We felt rushed to order then instead of staggering the food everything came out all at once and was piled on the table to get cold while we finished our salads. The food was good overall with the crab cakes being the best dish of the night. Good cocktails and wine as well. My husband’s filet was very heavily caked with salt and pepper so he couldn’t enjoy much of it. For such a nice and expensive restaurant we felt the service was lacking and the poor food timing really took away from the experience.

Went for Christmas Dinner. Less than a 5 minute wait time when we arrived. Hostesses that greeted us were very nice and the gentleman who took us to our table was very friendly and inviting. Our waitress Taylor was fantastic and also very friendly and very attentive. The food was really very good, I had a fillet and my Boyfriend had the ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly (medium rare). The restaurant is also really nice inside, has a great vibe and is in a great upscale and fun area. Overall an excellent experience. Will definitely be dining here again.

Excellent meal. All 3 had steaks and they were cooked to perfection with an outstanding seasoning. Service and ambiance were both great. Modern, but not gaudy decor. Salads and sides were also excellent. Drink service was spot on!!
