Forefathers Cheesesteaks

This place was clean and the staff was nice. I got a regular cheesesteak with fries. The fries were hot and fresh, like a beer-battered style. The sandwich was just ok. The bread was good but the meat portion was way too small for the bread. The cheese was placed on the bun and the meat was rested on top to melt it. There was no incorporation of the cheese and because the cheese was not put on top of the meat while it was cooking, it cooled the meat and left the sandwich lacking flavor. Was pretty underwhelmed with the sandwich and won't be back. There are better options out there but, if you want some solid fries, not a bad option.

CONS: Steak was very finely chopped, almost minced. Too small Onions minced, not caramelized strings Cheese was non existent, basically no cheese despite the fact we ordered cheese. Green peppers or any of the other pepper options or served in tiny containers and cold! Not hot, off the griddle About 12 bucks for this basic sandwich that was barely over 6 inches. Bathroom (1 of just 2) was tied up by at one employee who walked out with cell phone in handPROS:+Clean including bathrooms

If you are looking for a legitimately good cheesesteak, Forefathers is the place. My husband is from Pennsylvania and said this is the best cheesesteak he has had in the Valley. We each got a large and it was a ton of food, can easily make two meals out of it. Fries were great, hot and cooked perfectly. We will totally be back and recommend others give this great place a shot, especially when you need some comfort food.

We arrived 12 minutes before close not realizing they closed at 7:00 pm . We were greeted very kindly and told not to worry we were ok to stay. The cheese steaks were excellent. Would highly recommend.Food: 5/5

Very tasty! Been to 2 locations , quality seems consistent. Steak or chicken both were flavorful. Staff was friendly and helpful. No frills good food relatively quick. Very clean establishments!
