Fürstliche Burgschenke Harburg

This is a hotel in an old castle. It's very cool. The room was sufficiently modern, with good heat and good hot water with a shower. The wi-fi was solid. The castle itself was mostly closed to tourism, but I was able to walk around the castle grounds, both inside and outside the walls, and explore a bit. The room was not perfect. The bed was comfy enough, but it did creak a lot. It did not have AC, but I stayed in the winter. Maybe this means I should take away a star, but it exceeded my expectations for comfort. The food was very good. Many regional specialties at moderate prices. We've overcrowded the Burgschenke to tenth. Everybody has ordered something else and everyone has got the food at the same time. The service was prompt and friendly thanks to Karin! The rooms were simple, clean, quiet and inexpensive. Breakfast left nothing to be desired. The ambience is incomparable when the day guests have left in the evening. Schlossgespenst Kasimir could not be seen.

We have placed ourselves in the beautiful beer garden and placed a small order (flat soup, Swiss sausage salad and drinks). We then read the reviews that caused us a terrible horror. But with us the service was very friendly, the delivery was fast and also the food tasted good.

A wonderful stay in this ancient landmark hotel and fortress complex. Room was basic but had charm. Dinner was EXCELLENT across all four of us (curry wurst, Turkey and gravy, beef salad, pork dish). And the fortress walking tour was a lot of fun. Reserva una mesa ahora

It is a clean and quiet hotel. The person are very pleasant and helpful. I have been there 3 weeks. If I have to marke a little reproach, the breakfast at 7h30AM is half hour too late. That to be at work at 8h00A in Donauworth.

So I can only recommend the food there, good German cuisine with great and friendly service. The ambience is of course unique because you sit directly in the Burghof and have a view of the complete castle. Dogs are allowed.

Good beds. Rooms arrent all finnished up. Also the view of our room was nog the best. The rooms looked rushed ready. The breakfast was small en the staff slow. Overall a fair price, but is has room for improvements.
