Gasthof Pension Zur Kartause

We found Gasthof Lechner AKA Zur Kartause randomly because we were looking for a lunch and the street side Zur Post was closed from 13:00 for a motorcycle meeting. So we went on to the village and found this place and it looked promising from the outside. It is an older, traditional Austrian food, inn and we have not regretted that we have made them a shot. Food was excellent, service was fast and friendly.

We found Gasthof Lechner AKA "Zur Kartause" by accident as we were looking for a lunch and the road-side "Zur Post" was closed from 13:00 for some motorbike meeting. So we went further in the village and found this place and it looked promising from outside. It is an older, traditional Austrian eatery, inn and we did not regret we gave them a shot. Food was excellent, service was fast and friendly.

my husband and i went to austria on vacation and ended up taking a weekend trip to austria's wine district " called " wachau". trip advisor recommend us " gasthof pension zur kartause" and we fully enjoyed every single bit of it. the service was amazing, food excellent and the atmosphere was spectacular.highly recommend it

Trip Advisor recommends us gasthof pension to kartause and we all enjoyed a bit of it. the service was amazing, food excellent and the atmosphere was spectacular. very highly recommended Reserva una mesa ahora

We enjoyed some nice light meals for lunch aftr our visit to Melk Abbey. My breaded and fried cheese was very tasty! Service tended to be a bit slow, and they didn't have ice, which would have been very welcome on such a hot day.

We went to this restaurant thinking about good food as other travelers mentioned, but were very dissapointed. Food did not appear freshly prepared. More like newly heated. Try somewhere else.

You need to try out this imiserschmarrn it is delicious like a pancake taste with some jam, but cut in many pieces
