"Big Fisherman isn't your typical restaurant, but it sure draws plenty of hungry customers to its take-out section. They serve a diverse selection of freshly boiled seafood at excellent prices. We stopped in to get a pound of large crawfish (around a dozen) and four pieces of corn for only $8! The crawfish were fresh and delicious. Following recommendations from locals in New Orleans, I made sure to suck the juices from the heads, which were packed with rich umami flavor. It might feel a bit strange at first, but the taste of those salty seafood juices is absolutely worth it. The corn was also well-seasoned from boiling with the seafood and had a delightful spicy kick. The only drawback is that Big Fisherman lacks a dining area. Some customers even bike to nearby parks, and we walked a block to find a grassy spot with some rocks to enjoy our meal."
