Trendy place, nestled in the canyon, wonderful food, service and ambience. They offer Indoor/outdoor seating, menu has small plates, salads, main courses, deserts, from the farm items, seasonal goods etc. We had blue ribbon black-powder biscuits, local beef sliders, green Chile meatballs, French onion (best around by the way), and a very good pickled sampler dish. I went to Hell's Backbone this weekend for their last service of the season, and my birthday. What an exceptional place. From the moment we walked in it was cozy and warm, welcoming. We ordered drinks (the Barbacoa, a smoky, mezcal-based drink reminiscent of a spicy margarita; and the Rye Jam, a delicious bourbon and local crabapple jam concoction). I got married here this past summer after years of dining with Hell’s Backbone whenever we had the chance. Of course the food was incredible, but the people and service truly make the experience- Nick, Lacey, Nina, everyone else is just INCREDIBLE! We hope to keep returning for many more years.

A great experience, wonderful service and dining! I certainly recommend visiting, staying, enjoying the people, place and plates. The drive is sensational, the pace and energy perfect, the presentation and tastes are calling me back.
