The second visit to Levanter. Pretty bad experience the first time a couple of years back where we found ourselves to be the only people in there one evening and had the waiters stood around impatiently wanting us to hurry and finish so they could close. Levanter seems to have a lot of hype around it, hence we gave it another chance (maybe it was just a one-off... er, no). We genuinely can't understand why the place is bigged up so much. We love Spanish tapas, which is why we tried it in the first place so we kind of knew what kind of dishes we would be getting. I booked Levanter for a surprise 30th meal for my girlfriend’s birthday and needed accommodating for 28 guests. Obviously, this is quite a high number of people and was unsure whether they would be able to help, I really wanted to book as its our favourite eatery in Ramsbottom. The food is just incredible! After a quick enquiry it was established that they could seat us all which was great. The night was gong to be a complete surprise, so I needed to liaise with the restaurant to make sure the cat didn’t get out of the bag! Yesterday afternoon, I stopped by a restaurant for drinks and was planning to eat as well. We sat at the bar, ordered and paid for our drinks, which had a service charge added to it, so be aware of that. After a few rounds of drinks, we decided to order some Iberian Ham and Tapas. When we asked the bartender, who was very nice, if we could order food, he said he would ask the Manager. Upon his return, he informed us that the Manager was too busy sorting out the tills. We will not be returning to this restaurant again. We usually go to Holcombe Tap and highly recommend their service and food, as it provides a much better experience.

I have always been a supporter and regular customer of Levanter, but my recent experience was very disappointing due to terrible customer service. I hope that management train their very young staff to welcome their customers warmly, speak to them politely, check how they are enjoying their food and bring the bill when asked. All basic expectations but we received none of the above. We were made to feel like an inconvenience and the subject of gossip amongst the staff rather than customers. Reserva una mesa ahora
