Mojave Cantina Clawson

Usually really like this place. Their food is very good. Today for Cinco de Mayo, boyfriend and I decided to come for dinner. Understandably, they had a special menu for the day. But this menu was absolutely terrible. Every single thing on it was inflated by $5. To make matters worse, they cut the portions on some of the items too. If that isn’t bad enough, the only tacos they offered were Tex mex (who serves ground beef tacos on a Mexican holiday? , veggie, or shrimp. No birria, carne asada traditional street tacos with onion and cilantro. Who is going to pay $18 for two ground beef tacos with sour cream, that don’t even come with rice and beans? Disappointing!

Overall not a good experience and we will not be returning. Food tasted similar to pre packed grocery goods that you microwave at home. Service was mediocre.

Was a great date night with excellent food and drinks. The chips were stale and the salsa was somewhat bland. But everything was good otherwise!

Love their chimichangas! I've been going jere for years and have yet to be disappointed. Even on their busy nights, they haven't missed a beat.

First time eating here and will definitely be back……. Food was delicious
