A brilliant view makes the visit a must. A little bit out of town but there is a walking path or a short drive. The staff were excellent, plenty of parking good beer choices. My only complaint is I was served an old (I would call it stale and dry) reheated steak pie, not fresh and not oven heated as pastry should be. If I wasn’t so hungry I would have sent it back. Heard a lot of great things about this place so we came and I’m so glad we did as we have now been a good few time’s and I’ve got something different nearly everytime because the menu is just amazing with so much to chose from, everything I’ve had has all been delicious with great portion sizes and also very reasonably priced. I also came here for the Sunday carvery which was also gorgeous, demolished every scrap. Lovely warm atmosphere and very clean. The staff are very welcoming and pleasant. Couldn’t recommend this place enough

Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Good beer gardens. Friendly staff. Great home cooked style food, with a HUGE selection on the menu. Was dfficult to choose as so much sounded so tempting. Good prices. Througoughly enjoyed.
