Oakford Social Club

The Oakford Social Club on Blagrave Street is an old established venue off the beaten track in Reading. Situated opposite Reading Station this is away from the main pedestrian thoroughfares. This place is pretty big inside with a small outdoor garden smoking area out the back. Quite a few events such as live music gigs etc happen here. I’ve only been a couple times so not seen what it fully has to offer. If you want something a little less commercial than the other known commercial franchises in Reading for a day or night out then give it a go.

I've been a regular at the Oakford ever since I was invited to a VIP preview before it opened. I've seen it in all its incarnations. The pub is modern, roomy, conveniently located, great food and a good selection of booze. The front and backgardens don't get much sun but outdoor space in central Reading is rare. The service has always been slow and if you're not there to listen to the live music, the sound checking and performance ruins your pub experience.

Nice pub, comfy places to sit, big tables for groups. Food was okay, I have ordered the Classic Cheese Burger and the beef patty was burned. The fried and sweet potato fried were good and the sauces served on the table is enjoyable (not very common after pandemic). Good drinks, average price. The star is they are pet friendly, so our dog could join us for a good time.

Close to train station, decent price beer and FANTASTIC food! I 'll be coming back just to eat something delicious over here. I 'm from place 20 miles away and it will be worth the travel every time. If you like chicken then 'winner winner chicken dinner ' is a must

Good atmosphere, nice service, huge portion of special dirty fries (Santa’s Little Secret), Tuesday’s Burger Day with 2 burgers for the price of 1.
