Real pub with real pub grub. Right near the walking areas so great to come into after a walk. We got lucky and got a table without booking, they were very accommodating to as many guests as they could but I would recommend booking. We had a rag pudding and a mixed gril. They don't skimp out on anything and everything was cooked well. The staff are also lovely. Plenty of tables inside and out the back (more picnic tables).

Booked a meal during the week for the family 5 adults and 2 children. We had a great time. On arrival There was a warm welcome both from the staff and a gorgeous roaring fire. The staff were so friendly and helpful and constantly checked we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Thank you

What a fantastic little place. Called in for some lunch while driving over the tops on a beautiful day. Had our little dog with us too. Made so welcome by the staff. Great pub, absolutely packed with history and amazing views. Food was excellent, we had the cheese and onion pie. Most definitely worth a visit.

Started off a little iffy when they didn't have note of booking made online, but they did have space for us fortunately. Lovely, warm and homely. The staff were great friendly and attentive. Lovely food and made a special effort with the kids. Will be back again soon Reserva una mesa ahora

Great pub, good choice of ales and the best bit is the food. We had a T Bone steak which was first class, and the ham baguette also excellent. A nice ride out and great views as well. We would recommend it with hesitation.

Lovely home cooked food. Proper pub experience. Friendly attentive staff.free big car park. Nice views from pub and top of ashworth Valley, there are many walks in area if you're after a stroll or hike before or after.

we visited here yesterday we had a lovely meal. The food was beautiful well cooked well presented real good value also. The staff and service was excellent. We will be going back very soon.

Lovely views from outside , this old and atmospheric pub is a great peace place to go for a meal the food was excellent , staff helpful and friendly. Lovely visit.
