we arrived in savannah late afternoon and hungry at a weeking Saturday. The hotel career told us that we made an evening reservation asap and rocks on the river was at the right time available. the restaurant staff sat us fast, the room was a bit loud when the bar was crowded with football viewers. our waiter, mike was a joy. he recommended the chowder who was the best I cost. Moreover, he gave instructions to a local art college I was curious to see. my man ordered calamari, which was crispy and fresh. my salat was a seasonal fruit salad that was good but not excellent. I would be back for the chowder and the friendly service.

Ambiance was not there. My roasted chicken and collard greens were too salty and very small portions. I wanted to order raw oysters but she said that they didn’t have fresh horseradish or cocktail sauce to accompany. Only lemon. So didn’t order those. I asked for a cocktail that had a splash of grape juice in. She delivered my cocktail with grapefruit juice and at that time was when she told me that they didn’t have grape juice. And lastly, a small piece of roasted chicken and a spoon full of collard greens was overpriced at $32

that was okay, nothing to write at home. we got the burger and had to send him back for the first time when it was raw. the second time it was just cooked a little more. the maiscake is good and comes with hot honey and sorghumbutter. we have made reservations, but it took 15 minutes for everyone to serve us water or even confirm that we had not been served yet. I had to take the leak into the bar because our waiter could not be found. everyone was nice, but didn't seem to be organized at all.

Amazing 20 year wedding anniversary experience. Service was great. Food fantastic.
