Our party of 7 ate here at 2:30 pm. There were a few items not available when we ordered. It didn’t matter because there were plenty of other items on the menu. We ordered appetizers, soups, pierogies, entrees, and apple strudel. We ate family-style so each person got to try a little of everything.Service was excellent. The waitress was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. There was practically no wait for food. Everything was delicious. The potato pancakes were crispy and a little oily. The sausage was yummy. We had sour, chicken noodle, and red borscht soups. My family and I had never tried Polish food, but while on a trip to Chicago, we decided we were going to try many different foods, and we are very happy we stopped in at smakoszThe food was phenomenal. We each got a different plate so we can taste each others and everything from beginning through dessert was delicious when we return next year to Chicago we are definitely going to stop back in.

Everything was great, but the kitchen was extremely slow. People served as they came in, but only one table ate at a time. When the table before us finished, we were served. When we settled our check, the next table to order still had no food; they were served as we were leaving. There were three other tables waiting.Food: 5/5

Delicious food! We went to this place based on a recommendation and it did not disappoint. We were a bit nervous when we walked in and the place was empty, but it’s clean and welcoming. Potato pancakes just like my grandma made. Soft, tender pierogies and delicious, tart borscht.Food: 5/5

Best Polish food around. 35 mile drive just to have some. Service was a little slow, but it was Father's Day, so it's understandable.Food: 5/5
