Spice Merchant - Uxbridge

Visited on a quiet Bank Holiday evening only 2 other customers in the restaurant. The food was very good the starters were enormous which meant that we took some of the mains home in a doggy bag not a bad thing, at all, as it was still very tasty the following day! The service was very good with some nice humorous banter too which we enjoyed. Prices are a little higher than you would expect to pay in your average high street curry house, but then again, the food is also above average. The decor is contemporary and quite nice, but the waiter advised that they are going to have a bit of a make over soon, which should make it even nicer. I visited Uxbridge Spice Merchant (Masala) on Saturday with three friends and had a fantastic experience. The food was incredible, possibly the best in the area, and the service was attentive. The only drawbacks were that the beer was a bit pricey at £3.25 for a 330ml bottle, and the ladies' restroom was cramped and had a faulty lock.

Nice resturant, but of hte 3 dishes only 2 were up to scratch. We ordered a lamb madras and if tasted as though the spices were not fully cooked, slightly powdery
