Spike's Hot Chicken Dogs

Oh, boy, I love Spike's Hot Chicken. I'll go every other week. It's kind of silly for me that there are not really any big Nashville style hot chicken areas around the triangle, or if there are, I'm not aware. The chicken is suuuper solid, I'm pretty sure they only use dark meat for their sandwiches and all their sides are pretty good. The staff is always friendly, and the food comes in time. Make yourself a favor and check out this place! Also come to Durham!

I was just in Nashville and had hot chicken for the first time when I was there (Hattie B's). Anyway I got the tenders here and they were not as hot, but equally as savory. The red potato salad and Mac and cheese were also bomb. It was a lot of food, affordable, and I will definitely be eating here again.

This place is great. Super friendly bar staff. The service is a little slow, but it is worth it. If you have never had hot chicken before you should check this place. Get the offers with one side of honey. Enjoy any of the pages I tried there, especially the new brussel sprouts and green beans, yum!!!

The best hot chicken I had on this side of Nashville! Great heat, crispy skin and oh so delicious! They have GOT to try their brussel sprouts (believe that) and their spicy Mac and cheese! 5 star service and a fantastic environment. We're always going back!

Best hot chicken in town! Spice levels increase relatively fast, but the taste from all (mild all the way to their tip) are absolutely incredible. And her pages? Amazing. Spicy Mac and cheese and roasted honey mustard brussel sprouts are for dying.
