Spivey's Catfish House

eating was good, but too expensive. the poor waitress tried to cover a whole half of the rest. she has made a great job, but must mean that they are short staff, so the refills ran slowly and that had eaten before it was brought out so it was not very hot. medium rare steaks were very rare. it was a good evening meal and beautiful time despite, only expect more of a $30 steak dinner.

The steak was really good, but I asked for medium rare and it was still dark red (nearly raw) and there was too much char on it. The shrimp was good, but for $30 I expected to get more than a few pieces of it. The salad bar was pretty basic and you can tell the veggies were the stuff you get out of the store bags. Overall though it was a solid experience

the seafood plate they received for 24 dollars was not worth it. they were hardly anything on the teller, but maybe one of them. you could move everything on one side. the half of the plate is displayed. that was my second visit. So I don't know if it was new own or not. but my first visit was excellent and delicious.

what I was served tonight as $23 captain’s platter at spivey’s catfish house. Missed raid and teufelskrab. the “Scallops” were pink finger size. so the garnel (only 6 of them) they were not fresh.-10 of 5. will not be back.

Food was excellent. I had the half order of catfish and my friend had the half portion of scallops. Needless to say we each brought home left overs. Thanks to the clerk at the Holiday Inn Express for suggesting this place.
