The atmosphere inside was nice and quiet. Nobody was shouting. The bar staff could have been a bit quicker to serve. The menu was varied and sectioned off making it easier to find what you wanted. Payment is taken when you ordered. The food arrived quickly and was hot. There was condiments on a table close by so the table wasn't cluttered. The batter on the fish was very good on both occasions we ate there. Both times we ordered off the smaller plate option but the difference between the fish on the two days was not the same. The new cocktail with R Whites raspberry lemonade was delicious. The only problem I wanted the drink making upto a pint. The member of staff didn't know what to do, so...

1. Food is great for the price. 2. Service is not so great and staff, especially the dyed blonde hair older lady who just can't smile and obviously dislikes her job. Rude and unhelpful. 3. Haven't stayed yet but the price for rooms and central location is a bargain. The beer garden is fabulous. My only complaint is that the bath could do with a grab rain by the side of it to help get into the bath to use the shower. Otherwise everything was good.lovely big bed and very clean Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value
