Since my early days as a boy, I have always avoided Wetherspoons like the plague. I used to think of them as high street pubs where young people went to cause trouble. However, I have now become a huge fan! After visiting some of their locations last year, it's clear to me that the chain has made a concerted effort to make their establishments clean, inviting, and family-friendly. The Hatchet Inn is no exception. We dined there today and had a lovely experience. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was great, and the prices were unbelievably cheap! I came here yesterday for a drink and something to eat when our coach stopped here on the way to our hotel. It was nice and convenient, and I could see our coach from my table outside. Easy and convenient to order via the app. Drink and food came out reasonably quickly. It was a lovely sunny day, so I chose a table outside. The only problem was, I got pestered by wasps. Flowers were hung up nearby, which probably didn’t help the situation as it attracts them. Decent choice of food though. I only had a dessert as I only wanted something small. Easy to order using the app. Very good location.

On a rainy and windy Sunday evening after a race, we found a fantastic and welcoming pub with delicious food and drinks. Where else can you get a bottle of wine for £6.99 besides a supermarket! My wife enjoyed a jacket potato with roasted vegetables, while I indulged in a spicy and flavorful beef madras. The place was bustling, even for a Sunday, and we would definitely recommend it.

The senior management team has done a great job with this restaurant, which boasts a spacious terrace and a larger back area. The interior is clean and offers many options for privacy. I opted for a non-alcoholic beverage as I was driving. I can see this place being very popular on Saturdays, especially during race days.
