"Absolutely fantastic food, the sardine starter is the most gorgeous thing I've eaten in months. Service is efficient, not fast food (it's NOT McDonalds afterall), but worth waiting for. Lovely evening, can't fault it."

A Nice big pub with lots of space for people to mull around. They have another space at the back of the pub, which was very handy on this occasion. I came here to watch a rugby game and the pub was heaving with people, so thankfully the rear part was open. I would suggest it's best to book if you are going there to watch any major sporting event. Our table was easily found, in the back and it was ready and waiting for us. They have ample tv's on the wall so watching your sporting event shouldn't be an issue. The issue, I would say, is with the volume of people. Even though they have a large bar in the main pub and a smaller bare for the rear part it was a struggle to get served. The quality...
The Packhorse pub is a greeneking. Its family run and very welcoming. I have only ever been there on a sunday and it has always been very busy. i think alot of diner reserve tables for dinner. The pub is child friendly and in the summer i could see this as a nice place to chill with the kids. to the back of the car park theres a small petting area with a couple of animals. the food is out of this world and can not be faulted. a wide range of food is served here from bangers and mash through toItlalian food.
We were here on one of the beautiful days in April and sat out back in the garden. It was lovely! They have a huge garden! We had chicken Cesar salads and cider. They were both good, and refreshing to have outside. It was perfect! The baby happily played in the grass. All in all we had a wonderful afternoon here!
