"Cool old west style interior/exterior, with great German fare and American fare also. The building was built in 1863 during the Civil War. The same year the Virginia City township was founded. The building served as some saloons over the years and then alibrary in 1918. Lots of history in this restaurant, with great food and courteous, attentive service."

Absolutely terrible. I do not recommend one bit. Choose anywhere else besides here. Decided we needed some lunch because we were very hungry, and came here. (Keep in mind I?m 9 months pregnant as well) We were seated quickly and order was taken in a timelymatter but then we proceeded to sit for an hour a a half. A couple was sat right next to us after we had already been sittingfor 45 minutes. Their order was taken, two salads and a burger. It came out within 5 minutes. Didn?t receive our food we hadordered almost 2 hours before until 30 minutes after these people. We ordered 2 burgers. Nothing special. Absolutely ridiculous.I will never ever come here again. If I could give zero stars I wou...

We didn?t go there because we?re German but because we liked the quaint interior. Our server was awesome, she ran the whole place all on her own and was going 100mph without missing out on anything. The food tasted delicious, we had burgers and potatoand cucumber salad on the side. While the restaurant claims that some of the dishes are German, we wouldn?t confirm that thesides, like the potato and cucumber salad, were traditionally German or tasted like at home but we didn?t care at all. We?dnever demand food to taste like at home. If we would, we could as well just stay at home : Lovely place! Absolutely recommend.

Our server was wonderful! She was the only one out front and was running her legs off. She was friendly and sweet. We were not impressed with the menu or quality of the food. The bratwurst came with a tablespoon of kraut, the warm potato salad tasted likeboiled potatoes (missing the vinegar) and the potato pancakes were lacking and only came with a tiny papercup of applesauce. Noice available for drinks. Drinks were self serve from the cooler. No AC inside. Sadly disappointed for this extremely expensivelunch.

I really enjoyed this place. I think its adorable, I thought the food was good, and I'm fairly certain they'll sell you the nicknackery they have around the place. I'm not sure, I forgot to ask. I'm going off a notice that was on the table. I can'ttestify to the authenticity of the food, my German food experience is very limited, but it was great tasting all the same.Excellent experience overall
