Warran Glen Cafe - Reservar una mesa

This is the second time I have been disappointed with Warran Glen Cafe. The last time was four years ago, but decided to give it another try. I was dying for a really good cup of coffee so we thought it would be lovely there as the surrounds are so beautiful. I have trained to use coffee machines and you really do have to steam the milk well. If you don't do it for long enough you end up with what I had yesterday. The coffee was lukewarm at best. Last time I had complained at the cafe (politely), the criticism wasn't taken very well, so I decided not to bother this time. Hence my review. Please go and train to make a decent cappucino and don't stop steaming the milk until it has reached temp...

My family and I came for breakfast on the weekend. I used to love coming to this cafe but the kids were extremely disappointment as there was no small pancake options for them anymore. The eggs benedict were served on untoasted cold english muffins, no butter, small portion of ham and 2 poached eggs. It was a dish you made at home if you had only 5 mins to cook. This meal cost $16. I felt embarrassed being served this at such a nice cafe. Unsure if the owners had changed at all but the breakfast this time around was horrible.

Located within a garden centre, this restaurant is consistently busy. Despite multiple visits with a group of friends who always choose this spot, I fail to see why it remains open. The lack of table service and reliance on pre-cooked food make the dining experience underwhelming. The prices do not match the quality of the food. Additionally, the restroom is inconveniently located far from the restaurant, which is especially inconvenient in inclement weather.

I made a reservation for breakfast on the balcony for three people. We ordered coffees and I chose the smashed avocado with poached egg dish. The food was delicious as usual and the service was quick and efficient. After our meal, we took a leisurely stroll through the garden nursery and shop. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing meal and a pleasant morning outing.

The combination of grilled cheese and corned beef does not make a traditional Rueben Sandwich. The restaurant used to be charming, but now it is bland. The wait staff also seemed disinterested. It is disappointing that they removed most of the nursery for a mediocre cafe.
