Wilfrid's Fairmont Chateau Laurier

I have fond memories of having high tea at Zoe’s. My current visit however, left me thinking they could do better for the approx $450 paid for our table of 4. Chairs and tables are worn, the floor was very dirty, the window was leaking and there was no place to put your purse. Our server was kind but overworked. As a result we had long delays and half of our table didn’t receive their tea until the high tea was almost over. The quality of the food is suffering too. The tea was excellent and overall ambiance from a distance is grand.

It was my 80th Birthday and this was a perfect way to celebrate. I started with a delicious martini. I really enjoyed our Lunch/Tea. The sandwiches and sweets showed a high level of imagination. Even the location of our table for two was nice overlooking the Elgin/Rideau square. Our server, Nicole, put herself out to make our visit enjoyable. We would definitely go back enjoy another delicious lunch with tea.

Our host, Dave was amazing! He was the epitome of the perfect host for this event. He was discreet and professional, extremely pleasant. The experience was certainly one we will repeat!

Quite nice, steak was cooked right and the bartender was suprisingly skilled.
