we were on the camino and 15 came to lunch at 2 o'clock - our host was so helpful and eating came pronto- excellent eating and good wine. super, super service for 15. a piep in the kitchen to see them in action. great location on...the water edge and parking available on site. a real tasty bite on hard days, the camino radiate.
we visited the city with the intention to go to another restaurant (which turned out to be closed this month,) and accidentally in alborada, which proved to be the high point of our day! the restaurant is located at the main boulevard with a beautiful. view of the harbour and the beach. the personal is very friendly, and the cook itself would come to make sure that we are happy at any time. the starter with smoked cod was excellent, the seafood salad was tasty, and the cancer was a joy. the cook even explained which parts we should not miss. as a main dish we had the paella and the fried fish that were amazing! at the end we could not resist trying the homemade desserts and were not disappointed the chef told us that the restaurant was founded by their great grandfather, and we had a nice talk with her about the city and the region. all in all, a very beautiful evening and we definately would come again!
there are several restaurants near the water, we were the group of 11 and decided to stay here at midday. the host was amazing. all orders were taken within 10-15 minutes and served within 20 minutes, which really surprises us how we ordered a lot....The host even ran into the kitchen to serve us in time. the dishes offered were super tasty, even fantastic, the seafood were fresh, well made, finally we did not want to leave this place, so we ordered dessert. we traveled a week in portugal, but this restaurant was really out of what we tasted. highly recommended.
