we expected great things that were judged by previous reviews, but eating and the experience was very disappointing. a thing that we hoped was a series of local directed, but there was a problem and there was only one available. the food we got was in order, but nothing very special and not as good as a series of other less celebrated restaurants in the resort, but more expensive. the atmosphere at this place was strangely involuntary for mallorca, and I had the impression that the waiting staff was quite inexperienced when trying to do their jobs as well as possible.
the written reviews are not updated! this restaurant is operated by new owners without gas friendship. the food was not bad, we had lammed both and croquetted and was delicious. service is bad and careless. from all options in canyamel this is. definitiw the most unpleasant experience.
my wife and I found this restaurant in canyamel on our stay there and we just loved it. first we were received with a warm greeting from elisa(person who looked after us very well) and we had the pleasure of meeting tony the cook(...wonderful person), they made us feel special, and so cordially made us go back there for another time. every dinner we had, we tried various dishes and all were amazing. I just loved the place, the eating and the personal that is very friendly and friendly. I really strongly recommend this restaurant in canyamel and surely my next time on mallorca this will be my place to eat.
we had dinner without reservation on a Friday night. (this is probably not normal) very nice made fish with a rich garnel sauce to make it a special tasty bite! friendly staff who follow all health guidelines.
You will have a good honest Spanish meal here for a fair price. Secluded terrace. Friendly service. Nice tapas including various croquettes, fried mini squid. Good choice of meats, fish. Supposedly his paella’s are good although I haven’t tried myself.
We had a passable paella here two nights ago. Given lack of dining options in canyamel returned tonight. What a mistake! We ordered a small selection of tapas. Aside from some garlic prawns, the rest hardly passed for food. There was a ‘salad’ drowned in...a salty marinade, the croquettas were like dry sponges and there was no squid in our fried squid. Being true brits we ate it without complaint. And left a tip (although the waitress was very nice to be fair)! Be warned. Don’t go. This would be a prime spot for Gordon Ramsey’s next episode of kitchen nightmares. My husband and I just hoping no more sinister after effects than good money paid for bad food.
First time in the resort. Only two people serving including the owner. Busy Sunday night. Looked after in a timely fashion. Dates in bacon tasted great. September fish speciality tasty. No bones. Pork fillet well cooked. Recommended
We went times during our week in Canyamel. The staff were smiley and welcoming which is really important to me when eating out. We absolutely adored the garlic butter they served with the bread before the meal sooo good! The meals were also...really flavoursome. The goat's cheese salad was gorgeous with its honey dressing and the rabbit I had came in a big portion with a yummy, tangy stew like sauce. An interestingly sweet little shot to drink came with the bill that was nicer than those super strong tasting ones you get elsewhere. I found it all appropriately priced and on par with other local restaurants.
