The Chestnut Tree - Reserva de mesa

This place is like the title says. Dirty and an owner that’s aggressive and rude and a pain in the backside when drunk! Wouldn’t leave our table alone droaning on about how wonderful he is and then a couple of weeks later when sober returns to type and becomes aggressive as per other customers have mentioned. I had heard about the standard of customer service from other people who refuse to go their now due to the service standards and have now witnessed it myself now! The problem is sadly is they don’t realise how poor their service is and it’s reputation around the city. Beer is overpriced and toilets stink.

I humiliated myself coming to this place for Sunday dinner. Thanks for not talking too much. Eat fantastic, meat eater... complete. Yum. My friend had a vegetarian meal. Next time I'm looking for both on a record. Wow. Well done Chestnut kitchen staff for preparation and delevering an excellent, tasty, 'will come back ' Sunday lunch. In fact... all employees were efficient, polite and obviously enjoy their employment.. Wonderful to see that a local public house knows what the public needs. A house made dinner from the staff who care. Go on and enjoy the rewards.

A party of ladies came here for Sunday lunch. Speaking for myself, I thought it was excellent. I had roast beef(small plate). The plate was very hot as was the meal. It was extremely tasty and plenty of it. The pub has a good atmosphere and the staff very friendly and helpful. I was amazed at the price £6:50. A very popular pub.

I found the size of meat very disappointing the rest of the dinner lovely but the portion of meat is that thin I couldnt see the 3 meats I ordered dinner is all about the meat I had 3 very thin very small portions of meat disappeared Reserva una mesa ahora

Have been here many times now and always have a great time. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is always good. My partner enjoys coming here to watch the football, whilst I love the Sunday roasts.

I really enjoyed the chestnut restaurant, especially the outdoor garden area and their impressive selection of gins. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning regularly.

Excellent traditional pub is very friendly staff. Good selection of beers. It features a cozy pool, a dart and a TV room and a lounge area...big outdoor area at the back. Very recommended.

I had a wonderful Sunday roast dinner at this restaurant. They had a selection of four meats and a variety of vegetables to choose from. I will definitely be returning again! Reserva una mesa ahora

We're going to the pub. Huge selection of gins and decent whisky also. The beer is good and there are many places to get a quiet place for the night.

Great Sunday lunch as always. And the Sam smiths cider does wonders for my darts. Love the place and the food great bunch people in there. Magic
