Came with my son early evening. A lot of things on menu weren't available. He had pasta - only two of the seven pasta dishes were on offer. It was brought out in literally five minutes, hot on top stone cold underneath, and tasted like had just been microwaved. I may be wrong, my burrito was OK but again not that hot. Nice setting, but food was really quite disappointing

This restaurant is located within close walking distance to Plaza Grande area of Merida. We dined late at night - about an hour before they closed. They had about 8 vegetarian options on the menu, which is why I chose the restaurant. However, my non-vegetarian friend ordered something from the menu and was told they were out of that selection, as well as his second option. He had to settle for something he was not thrilled about. The food was tasty, and the service was "polite" but we felt they were in a rush to get us out of the restaurant so they could close. This was on a Friday night.

We were drawn to this place by the patio and the mural but it turned out to be at very nice place for dinner. Beers were 2 for 1, food was nice (and cheap) but most of all waiter Leo made us feel welcome.

My husband and I found this restaurant/bar while we were bar hopping in Merida Centro. The sign at the entrance announced 2-for-1 margaritas and who was I to argue with that? The host was inviting and friendly and we soon found ourselves seated in the courtyard enjoying our drinks. The open space is awesome – it is decorated with trees, plants and there is one wall covered with beautiful artwork. There is also an indoor area. The host was our server as well and he went above and beyond with his attentiveness. We didn’t try the food this time, but knew we would be back and we were. The second time we went, I really didn’t know exactly where it was, but it must have been beckoning me as I found it in no time! We had the same super-nice server and again I had the 2-for-1 margaritas. But, this time he made it a double instead of two separate drinks, which I thought was a nice touch. My husband had 2-for-1 Mezcal. We also decided to try the food and after perusing the many options (lots of vegetarian), we ordered the panuchos. They were excellent. This restaurant has definitely become one of our regular spots when we visit Merida.

We first headed for a trendy Mayan restaurant but it had a line out the door. Around the corner we found this place and decided to give it a try. The patio was a wonderful place with interesting murals, trees and sculpture. The furniture had seen better days but sufficed and we were treated very well. We enjoyed the special of the day--a platter for two that had an assortment of meats, tasty sauces, avocado and a bit of rice and refried beans. We were too full to try them, but I think we'll come back and try the smoothies--they looked yummy.

By chance my mom and I discovered 2012 Espacios Mayas Y Algo Mas while wandering the streets of Merida. The menu had a variety of choices of local cuisine, pastas, and vegetarian dishes. Craving vegetables, we both had the Ceasar Pollo - Delicious! The portions were healthy, the service was very friendly and quick and we felt very comfortable in the private atmosphere of the courtyard. If you are in Merida looking for a restaurant that you can trust, this is it. I highly recommend it.

I ordered frejoles refritos and vegetarian fajitas. The beans were real good but the portion was small compared to other places where I had it and paid the same price. The totopos served with it were very good, same can be said about the tortillas that came with my main. The main was only 70 pesos still, it was half potato, slightly more than a spoon of guacamole and a small amount of deliciously cooked vegetables. The portion was rather small given it is only vegetables. It might be the vegetarian dishes only because the fiend who came with me had the beef nachos and the portion was huge (and she told me they were really very tasty). For some reason, when time to pay came, the 95 pesos I was supposed to pay turned into 110... It's a small difference, still I find it annoying... Maybe I did not read that service is automatically charged... I did not see it on the menu... Food is really nice and very reasonably price, I surely recommend going. It is not a vegetarian restaurant but it does have around 10 vegetarian options - all of them honestly very interesting (I did struggle to pick one).

This restaurant is not very visible from outside, but once inside, Mexican paintings adorn its walls and other Mexican art. Restaurant is small but serves up delicious meals
