This restaurant is located inside the Hotel Caribe, but has outside seating available in the public square, in front of the hotel. It has a menu focused on the regional cuisine, Yucatecan food. Seafood, chicken, pasta, pork, and beef are all included on the menu in some form. The quality of the food is quite good, portions average and prices reasonable for the value received. If you are in the area and would like a good meal, give this place a try. We were guests at the Hotel Caribe, so found the restaurant convenient for our needs. They do NOT require reservations. The service here was very good as well.
Disappointing. Do you have a ties it was glorified cheese sticks with a tomato sauce. The two for one Mojito was fine. The P Ville tostada was also very good. Generally the table service was fine but the restaurant was advertised as being open till 10 and I was pushed out the door at 8:30 without even the opportunity to use the bathroom. Anoche cené y me senté afuera y observé a la gente. Pedimos guacamole con patatas fritas, que estaba bueno, pero las patatas fritas estaban un poco grasosas, la sopa de lima, que estaba buena, no era excelente y los rellenos negros, que estaban bastante buenos. Su vino blanco era bastante bueno, pero manténgase alejado del tinto, realmente malo. El servicio fue bueno y la factura total con 3 copas de vino fue de $ 26 EE. UU.
We met the manager of the restaurant in the street while looking for a place to eat shortly after arriving to Merida ... after a short talk over ‘ancient’ Danish footballers we ended up walking with him to ‘his’ restaurant. We tried their homemade guacamole for starters and then three different Yucatán dishes and were very satisfied with the quality of all three. However, I can especially recommend the Cochinita Pibil (pig shank roasted in banana leaf). Additionally the price level is very reasonable.
Este restaurante está ubicado dentro del Hotel Caribe, pero tiene mesas al aire libre disponibles en la plaza pública, frente al hotel. Tiene un menú enfocado a la cocina regional, comida yucateca. Mariscos, pollo, pasta, cerdo y ternera están incluidos en el menú de alguna forma. La calidad de la comida es bastante buena, las porciones son promedio y los precios razonables para el valor recibido. Si estás en la zona y quieres disfrutar de una buena comida, prueba este lugar. Éramos huéspedes del Hotel Caribe, por lo que el restaurante nos pareció conveniente para nuestras necesidades. NO requieren reservaciones. El servicio aquí también fue muy bueno.
