El chiringuito es precioso. Fuimos a media mañana a desayunar y muy recomendable. Los batidos y la limonada muy ricos. La ensalada de frutas tardaron un poco en servirla pero estaba muy bien y bien de cantidad. Buena atención. Nos quedamos con ganas de probar más cosas.
Me and my girlfriend visited here for the first and last time a couple of weeks ago. We both lived in Dubai previously and visited El Chiringuito on the Palm which was wonderful (which is no longer there unfortunately, probably an indication of the management...of this brand) and I wanted to spend the day here because it looked great online. I got catfished. Firstly make sure you have cash to pay the taxi when you arrive because they don’t pick up signal for card payments. Minor so we’ll let that slide. Next, when you arrive onto the beach it’s a free for all to grab loungers, no one is there to greet you and show you to your space on the beach. When you do arrive at your loungers, you’re greeted by plastic sun beds that look like second hand eBay finds and not in a good way. Next up, if you didn’t bring your own towel (and why would you right, because you’re at a ‘premium’ beach club you’re in trouble because you need to hire one. for two. Not just that, for two sunbeds and to hire an umbrella. down in a heartbeat. So now you’ve got your lounger, your towel and your umbrella, great. Let’s at least try to enjoy the beautiful beach now we thought. When we looked up towards the ocean we saw an enormous wall of black seaweed which blocked the sea quite literally the entire width of the beach club. I’m not being dramatic here, black seaweed blocked the ocean both ways like someone dumped it there to try to prevent people from swimming. So now swimming is off the menu unless you want to scale the seaweed mountain. By this point me and my girlfriend were looking at each other thinking that we were on MTV being Punk’d or something. Had I been on my own here I probably would have left but a) you’re literally in the middle of nowhere with no taxis and b) we’re both stubborn and optimistic people so we were determined to turn this car crash experience around. Next up, a member of staff finally comes over to us to offer some service. Not really, this is where they come to collect the euros for the sunbed set up. I would have given them another to jump in a digger and clear the seaweed. At this point we both wanted to get away from this bizarre experience and go for a walk so we decided to head up the beach for a walk. Brace yourselves. On both sides of the beach club is a nudist beach. I’m not talking topless, I mean fully nude and it was everywhere. It says a lot about El Chiringuito that the best part of the day was walking away from it and being surrounded by nudists. The beach is beautiful, the water is green and blue and no seaweed in sight. At this point I would have happily taken back my and laid towel-less on the sand and that would be my advice to anyone thinking of visiting here. We ordered some food a bit later which in fairness was ok (but how hard is a vegan burger and fries plus a couple of beers to get right really but if you want my advice then save yourself and go to the beach either side of EC. We are both liberal people and public nudity is part of Spanish culture so for me the nudist beach was no problem, it’s just ironic that to enjoy your day at EC you have to leave it. Once we got in the swing of the day and resigned ourselves to the fact that it was a disaster we found the hours passed quite quickly. As we left we thought the restaurant looked really nice if you were to come for a meal but judging by the food reviews I saw before writing this that would also be a big mistake. Ibiza is beautiful. Spanish people and culture are both wonderful. This place is a disaster. At best El Chiringuito Ibiza is a budget hotel beach masquerading as a premium beach club experience and robbing everyone of its customers blind for as long as they can maintain this fraud. Avoid at all costs.
My boyfriend and I were extremely excited for El Chiringuito having read stellar write ups online before arriving in Ibiza. All I can say is that we were disappointed to say the least. If you go to the trouble of booking a table at a...restaurant online, and having the back and forth correspondence with the restaurant to secure the booking, you expect that you will be seated when you get there. It was surprising to turn up and be herded like cattle whilst waiting with all of the other visitors. This is shocking given that El Chiringuito presents itself as an exclusive venue and isn’t something that should be happening during Covid times as well. It was at least minutes before we were sat at our table. This was after dealing with an extremely stroppy front desk hostess which had us in a bad frame of mind by the time we reached our table. When we questioned when we might be seated, we were greeted with an unpleasant bordering on aggressive response. She said it was because El Chiringuito are dealing with at least covers a day. As if that was used as an excuse! Perhaps they should have less people and focus more on quality. The food was mediocre and for extortionate prices. He had a tuna quinoa salad with a mountain of quinoa and measly bits of tuna steak and tiny chunks of broccoli. For around I had the sea bass, which was poorly flavoured. The food came extraordinarily quickly and was dumped on our table with no finesse or care. It almost felt like being in a cafeteria. No one came to check on us to see if we had everything like salt, pepper, and the bread we had ordered to have before our mains. You could say the vibe of the place is cool on first impressions but honestly there were far too many people to make it a pleasant experience. They packed so many tables in close together that I struggled to get out of my seat at the end of the lunch without knocking into the person behind me. You felt like you were in a production line and they were trying to get in as many people as possible over the course of lunch to grab more money. It’s definitely not a place where you can luxuriate over lunch. There are much better beach clubs/restaurants in Ibiza.
We booked a table for two and got a long chair on the beach while waiting for our table. The waiters were very nice. We ordered for entry skewers of calamari that were perfectly cooked with a delicious salsa and then had the risotto with...truffle and the fish shawarma which amazed us with the flavours. The only down point was the Gluten free brownie for dessert which was hard and pasty. The prices were a bit high but not exaggerated. Highly recommend this restaurant, great experience
we come every year after el chiriguito when we visit ibiza as always eating was great, but we had a problem with the reservation as it was not properly received, we often knew that they did this, so asked the person we talked. on the phone for their name, so we are not turned away to say that they cannot find the reservation. the service was fast, but the starters arrived before the drinks and we had to hunt them down.
Our favourite place for a beach lunch in Ibiza. Food is consistently good (how can a cauliflower be made into something so special?! the drinks are great too and the location is beautiful. Has a great ambience/ vibe. Kids club is also a wonderful thing...but we just wish it opened it earlier!! General tip arrive by and you’ll easily get one of the public loungers on the beach. But you need to book a table at El Chiringuito for lunch. Kids club opens at
The worst experience in my life, they don’t listen he customer but give what they want, I ordered a sandwich with ham, cheese and tomato to take away, I waited for minutes for every small and thin slices of bread with very thin...slices of cheese and tomato , without ham!!! For Good that’s your job, my choice is to say the truth about you!!!
Everything felt very rushed from the moment we sat down. Offered the obligatory bottle of water, bread and carrots you haven’t asked for turn up on the table. Starters arrived within minutes of ordering, then plates whipped away within seconds of finishing and main courses...dumped on the table. Service was either completely unattentive to the point of being ignored or intrusive when taking things away. Food was average, but totally overpriced. We get you pay for the location, but you are also paying for an experience that was sadly lacking.
