Northern Spain is limited when it comes to vegetarian food, but this place was a real foundation. I had the hummus and tofu curry. the dish of hummus was delicious and was served with a large bowl pitta brot. the curry was also great. I thought it was a little expensive.

during my stay I went to the restaurant three times. cuisine is tasteful Mediterranean with a beautiful twist on the seasoned. the ambiente is peaceful, the owner johnny is attentive. I will make this a favorite stop when in santiago .

I loved my walk. However, spain is not my favorite place as healthy conscious eating. eating here is great. the owner (paless) was so friendly and I think his wife is in the kitchen. we had a hummus, the fatoush salat, suppe and the...Gemüse curry and all the dishes were perfect. I have no complaints. also the red wine is a great house wine. I'm quietly picky and I've traveled the world. this place is my favorite place in santiago full stop!

in our first night in santiago, the concierge in our hotel recommended this place as it is known for its vegetarian options. cautious has some of the dishes Indian names (a dessert called mahamuni or great priests ... we decided to skip this). The foods are merged with Indian and Mediterranean ingredients (their taboule and cousin are too-die-for). the waiter was very friendly and quickly repelled to india any submission of a formal connection. all in all a very tasty, satisfying meal for anyone looking for a change from the meat and fish-centric Iberian cuisine

The Malak Bistro was the perfect place to have a final supper together after a great Camino. Wonderful menu and welcome

Needed vegetables after a week in Spain....Malik bistro to the rescue. Grilled veg to die for, the best vegetable curry ever. And those crepes. Just divine. Not to mention the utterly charming Johnny and the sweet chef. We leave tomorrow and they're closed on Thursdays,...otherwise we'd be heading back. Do yourselves a favour just go.

From a non-vegan perspective, the food was 5* but the host made the experience. He was friendly and attentive, sharing the story of the Malak Bistro and altering the dishes at our request. The interior was innovative and created a great atmosphere. Would certainly recommend...to all foodies and groups young and old, couples and friends.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The food is incredible, the menu caters mainly for vegetarians and vegans but they have a few meat dishes also. The owner is so passionate about his restaurant and the food he serves, he explained how he has...some meat dishes included on his menu for flexitarians (which is how my partner eats) I had the vegetable curry and it was beautiful, perfectly cooked and so flavourful. My partner had the falafel and said it was perfect. The hummus was great. Honestly give this man your business, it’s not everyday you come across a restaurant this friendly with such a high quality of food. All food and drinks came to €38, I feel it was more than reasonable.
