I stopped by on New Year's Eve around 4pm, because my local pub was closing for a couple of hours in preparation for the party later that evening. My drink of choice is Carling, and I ordered a pint, but I was disappointed with the taste. It seemed like the lines hadn't been cleaned properly. I managed to finish it and ordered another, but it was even worse, so I left half of it and switched to a John Smith's bitter, which also wasn't great. I decided to just go home and have a couple of cans, which proved to be a safer option. The only redeeming aspect was that the pizza I had was quite nice.
I popped in here for the first time as it was close to a friends house who wanted to watch a match that was on. We were ignored at the bar for ages and when we were finally served we ordered two pints and a glass of water (as I was on antibiotics at the time not that it should matter! . The incredibly rude barmaid tutted at us and served the two pints then said she's not serving the water as there were paying customers waiting! Absolutely gobsmacked! What an awful place!
Typical rough estate pub. Service at the bar is non-existent, unless you are one of the bar staffs friends/relatives. We didn't bother with the food after the wait for a drink. The only benefit to this place is that you can get your car washed by the local Kosovans while you suffer the misery of the place its self. You could also spend your time counting the amount of tattoos on show.
I am currently sitting in a restaurant on a Saturday afternoon, sipping on my Guinness. There are two Asian men working behind the bar. They have the football game on the TV, but the commentary is in a language I don't understand. The bar is crowded with British customers, and the only Asians here are the staff, yet the TV is playing in their language, not ours. It's unbelievable! Reserva una mesa ahora
We were staying at a friend's house nearby, so we decided to go over for dinner. The service was quite quick, and I ordered a large pizza. It did take a little while to come out, but I enjoyed it. Although the karaoke inside was too loud, we chose to sit outside. The drinks were decent, and the bartender was friendly.
This Pub could be fantastic if they turned it around and I am sure a lot more people would use it. As a whole though, I am very sad to say it is truly a dreadful pub and does not attract the best customers either. I think eventually it will get knocked down and Morrisons will have the land as a petrol station.
Ive been travelling around West Midlands and stopped in Pendulum pub for couple drinks and food. Surprisingly food was lovely, very fresh, well served. Drinks was for reasonable price and really good, have no complain. Pub was worm and nice while outside was cold. Stuff was really helpful and friendly.... :
Eighties built pub with no atmospere....car park is predominantly a car wash! The beer is overpriced and not very good....no sign of any real ale. No smoking shelter in place...typical estate pub...everybody goes to Morrisons next door and stays at home. Reserva una mesa ahora
