O Berbes, Vigo, Spain

we stumbled over o pescador during a wet evening in the harbour town vigo, while we walk to find a place where we could sample some typical local foods. we were not disappointed. o pescador is a fairly large place, rustic looking (in positive wise). but also very clean and cozy. the waiter (may the owner was perhaps for advice and was friendly and chatting, told us about his time in england and various anecdotes. his help was actually crucial as it was a bit confused with all the different offered and counter offers and various flyers and sub-folds on the display next to the main menu. They often find the same dish with another price tag, but the man explained that everything that changes is the size of the section. By the way, eating was nicely served and made clear home. I enjoyed what was perhaps the best seafood soup "sopa de marisco of my life. it was just amazing. very tasty, beautifully spiced, and also the right side of the spicy. it followed an excellent merluza in salsa verde, which is in the round a baked lake, which is served in a seriously stunning green sauce with some fresh mushes and boiled kartoffels on the side. really nice. my partner ordered oysters for starters and noticed how delicious and incredibly fresh they were. his head was chuleton de ternera a steak on the bone, which was grilled and very well cooked. it was served with kartoffel and a mini salad. to say nothing negative. the whole experience was washed out with an excellent local white wine that they must try if they are ever in galic. only a little annoying thing was up to ask for the bill how, from the main court, the waiter went awol, but that was corrected immediately. overall a very satisfying experience. would recommend o pescador in any case, especially if they had a filling local meal without breaking the bank.
