"On the way home along the Mosel we decided to have an early dinner. Last station was Cochem and here was despite, or only that, hell was going on. The densely filled streets turned out quickly in the early evening. The daily dish is announced on a slate table. The 2 additional salads for 3,00 € each were served in the bowl. Fresh Lollo Rosso and Bianco, salad cucumber and tomatoes. The herbal cream fraiche dressing was a bit too massive for me and made no homemade impression (will this also be added to the grater cake? As a main dish we ordered flashcakes. My husband chose the flame cake with tomato mozzarella to € 7.90. I chose the flame cake with leaf spinach and salmon to € 9.80. Both flame cakes were served on the typical wooden board hot and pre-cut. The dough outside nice crispy and thin as it should be. Tomate-Mozzarella cut off tastefully better. In my flashcake, I almost had too much salmon. And the spinach remained a slightly furry feeling in his mouth, he was also a little dry. Here I missed some sophistication and spices. Nevertheless, the flame cake was good edible. A lapping steak was served on the side table. The guest cut it and it seemed butterfly. Perhaps this is the speciality of the house. Cleanliness and ambience: The open stone vault brings a great atmosphere. The acoustics are still pleasant later with a well visited restaurant. Rustic with modern influences, well maintained. Dark wooden tables and chairs, centrally huge chandeliers. Autumn decoration on the tables, not overloaded. All very harmonious, so also the handwritten board: “The rain lets the grass grow, wine the conversation.” Nice and true. The toilets clean and well maintained."
