"Last year we were already in Daun and discovered this beautiful café. At that time, however, we were always tired or there was no afternoon café time. During this year's visit we agreed better. Last Thursday the weather was not so good. So the right time to go to Café Schuler. My husband always goes to the genetically deposited piewecker in the afternoon, I joined. The café is just too beautiful. It is best to park on one of the public parking spaces and walk to the café. Parking is in the business streets of Daun. Service: The owner welcomed us friendly and advised us in detail at the Tortentheke. Since it was somewhat rainy and very cool, we took place in the interior of the café. Here we ordered our drinks. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Food and Beverage: 1 Latte macchiato to € 3.30 and 1 piece of folklore € 2.80 for me. 1 cup of coffee to € 2,10 and 1 piece of lemon cheese cake € 2,70 for my husband. Kay Schuler is here personally the confectioner and ice cream master. On the way, I have to say that I'm not a fool at all. If, then more cake without cream. But if I'm here, I'll take the award-winning volcanic places. I hope I can describe the great volcanic places in a way. In my life, I have not yet brought a cake to stand, and it will probably remain (better). A thin, crispy ground on it a dark chocolate bisquit. 1 layer of loose chocolate mousse (full milk? the upper fruity cream layer probably the red cream magma. The completion by a Cassis currant glaze and a white chocolate grating. The tort back of whole milk cow. As Mrs Schuler assured me in advance, the cake was not too sweet. The fruity components brought a pleasant acidity to the sweet cream. The cake of my husband also with thin crispy bottom, on it a loose cheese cake layer covered by lemon cream. Covered with lemon glaze. He was also very satisfied with his choice. I find it strange that a latte Macchiato costs more than a piece of cake. It doesn't suit me the appreciation of craftsmanship. There are also homemade chocolates, ice cream and lunch table. Cleanliness and ambience: When we entered the confectionery we felt like in a dense Wiener Caféhaus. An absolutely harmonious and beautiful furnishings. Chandeliers on the ceilings and all over old coffee mills. The photos will certainly speak for themselves. On the way to the older, clean and well maintained toilets in the 1st. Upstairs, the many awards of confectionery art can be admired in the stairwell. Conclusion: 5! Even a “must” in Daun!(1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – definitely back to the kitchen trip. During our café house visit, even the weather improved. So I could swim a few calories in the wonderful Maar in the evening! A good day."

"Tuesday we were in this place, which I had searched on the Internet. Extensive parking is available, as well as hotel. Front, a small non-covered terrace, with typical beer garden chairs past the covered terrace, which was rustic and cozy with massive wood furniture. There we picked up a table. Outside it was weather conditioned, pleasantly empty. In the restaurant's entrance, the steaks hung in a drying chamber. If we go back to the corner, we will definitely enjoy a menu with steak in this location. Here there were also like almost everywhere, Bitburger vom Fass,so we chose the volcano beer at 3,30 Euro 0,33 L. After we had given up our order, the service told us that we can serve at the Salatbuffet restaurant. We didn't say that twice. The buffet was amazing. Potato salad, laid mushrooms, roasted peppers, tomato salad, peasant salad, lard, butter, quarkdip, various rod breads that were warm. We couldn't decide what to take. Alone at the buffet we could have eaten chubby. But as we had ordered the starter and main food, the males only took plenty of mushrooms and roasted peppers, with 2 slices of bread and lard. I took 2 mushrooms and some peasant and tomato salad, with 2 slices of bread and quarkdip. That was so delicious very good start. To the appetizer, males chose the oxen power broth, at 6,90 Euro It was neat vegetables in it and well tasted. Beef broth. I chose the Beef-Tatar Burger with red onion jam and caperberry, to 12.90 Euro. I was very done. That looked good visually and then this taste. The Tatar was in such a miniburger and through the onion jam, it gave this wonderful fruity taste. Then there was another Tatartal, separated on the plate and was covered with roasted onions. That was a real taste experience. To the main dish, males chose Ochsenleber with apple, onions, potato puree, to 14.90 euros. The liver found males really good.In general, he tasted the main food very well. It was also under the puree, onions. I chose the Ochsengulasch with Spätzle, to 18,90 Euro. Jesus, that was a lot. From such a delicious dish, I could not leave. Then we'd rather have drunk a few herbs. The meat collapsed,so tender it was.You realize that it is very good meat from good posture. We would have liked to have taken another dessert, but outside an espresso at 2.30 euros, nix more went in. By the way, the espresso was pretty strong and very hot, which is always such a gambling when you order one. Conclusion : We went mega happy out of the locality. Service and food, top! In my enthusiasm, I can't forgive anything other than 5 stars."
