"Location and ambience (4* My palate, insulted in recent days, demanded urgent satisfaction. I remembered that I have not yet written a review of the new website of Oli Döber, the Ochsen in Köngen, which the former operator of Albblick bought a year ago. The oxen is very central in the immediate vicinity of the Köngener Schloss, very conveniently connected to the A 8, about 15 minutes from Stuttgart Airport and the fair. The building is a modernized technical building. Oli has designed the guest room individually according to its Gusto in a laborious nightwork according to a kitchen near Albblick. The formerly naked walls were partly covered with raw wooden beads, which not only look pretty, but also neatly lower the sound level when the room is fully occupied, which is a rule here. Since in principle comfort products are dispensed with and all meals freshly prepared themselves, waiting times of half an hour can come, rarely longer in peak times. However, I would like to accept this with regard to the high quality of food. The guests serve his wife with 2-3 other friendly ladies. Everything runs like a snuck like a precise movement. If you enter the place, you will receive your table. The menu doesn't wait long. The order is carefully received, the drinks are served and a small conversation with the guests is also included. Here you can feel safe as a guest. A lunch table (11:30-14:30) is available for €7,50 from Monday, Wednesday – Friday. You have the choice between 4 dishes, in addition a special dish (e.g. Wild for 11,90 €). Soup 2,50 €, dessert 2,90 €, espresso 1,20 €. You can't complain. The large map contains 12-15 dishes. I would particularly like to mention an excellent Bouillabaisse for 12,50 € Bouillabaisse and on Friday from 17:00 h an onion roast with roast potatoes and salad for 13,90 €. That was my decision today. The onion roast as always about 250 g, perfect medium with steamed onions and roasted potatoes with small ham cubes, a short treat.
