another subjective report with its own perspective: after several recommendations I could finally make myself a picture of this restaurant/(Bistro?). Although my visit was on a working day – and actually outside the rush hours, between 17 and 18:00 – it was immediately admitted that it is also useful to reserve a table at these times, if you want to dine and talk quietly. but you can also risk it differently. the locality is very clearly divided into two. there is a rather small separate room that offers good space and is rather quiet. the tables have benches and there are so closed quiet seating groups, but there would be no possibility for another sitting from the outside (e.g. a wheelchai...
was there with workmates. for a larger group, the seating was not so suitable despite advance notice. we had to spread to three tables. for that the service was very nice and the food came promptly. it has tasted everything excellent too. during the evening we were regularly asked for drinks that were promptly received. essentially it was the table order that was not so great. for some larger groups, there is no recommendation, but for up to 5 people.
They now offer 3 vegan dishes, a sweet potatoe curry, a casserole and a filled oven potatoe. In February they also offered vegan kale with potatoes and a vegan soup on a special menue. The casserole was not the best choice, covered with a lot of cornflakes, potatoes, tomatoes, cellery and rice where not the ideal combination and lacking spices. The kale was good though and also the sweet potatoe curry on the other table looked better.
spontaneously we were in the kartoffel house and immediately got a place. very friendly and fast operation. the food was freshly prepared, was very tasty and the williams birne was the crowning conclusion. the owners are very open and attentive and grateful for every word, including critique. we like to come back when we are back in osnabrück!

I ate at Kartoffelhaus in late October 2021 and unfortunately they only offered one vegan option, a sweet potato curry. It tasted nice though. Quite a few vegetarian options available.
the staff was very friendly. the food also tasted tasty, however was in all dressed with chicken that meat very dry. I could be worked on that, otherwise, but really good.
Eine vegane Option, ein Süßkartoffelcurry. Ist 3 Jahre her, war aber glaub ich ganz lecker. Gerne nachlegen :
