I wish I could give this place a recommendation but after my last experience I cannot in good faith recommend anyone go here. 1. Everything was dirty. Glasses, cutlery and the water bottles. 2. One of our people at the table ordered the fried chicken. Everything, no exaggeration, everything on the plate was not seasoned. No flavour. The server did not do a quality check until about 10-15 minutes after we got our food. Upon which we voiced (very politely that we were unhappy with this dish. So she took it back to the kitchen. I wish I read the reviews! At the start it was amazing, after we got our starters it went down hill fast! Slow service, bland dry horrible food, morning that but the cups, cutlery and water bottle were all filthy! The water bottle had mold in the lid, all the cups had soap and grime on them and the cutlery still had some food left on it!!! Only person who enjoyed their food was someone who got soup! Interestingwe came prepared cuz of the bad reviews but it was the only place that opened late so we didn’t have options. We got there at 10, 2 hours before the closing time but all the chairs were already put up. The online menu was fake and so were the promo plaques. They didn’t honor the half of oysters or some other items listed both online and at the table. The servers were friendly and intended to be helpful tho. They told us that there’s a new chef and the new chef is implementing changes before anything is updated. I ate here a handful of times during my week in Sidney just because it was convenient and they have a decent happy hour. Without fail, every single time the service was almost laughable. The restaurant would be not even half full, sometimes even just a few tables but it would take any one of the server working ages to get to us to either take our order or add to it. At one point I just decided to walk up to the bar from my table to put in our order; it seemed we weren’t the only ones having this issue as I saw another table doing this. Excellent food and service in a lively atmosphere. Fresh ingredients and on site bakery. Good selection of daily specials and core menu. Having read the uneven reviews we were a bit wary, however glad we tried it. Service was prompt and professional. Will be back.
