The staff were lovely, but the food was just average. I had the lobster and seafood dish, which must have been sitting under the heat lamp while my husband's meal was being prepared, as it was quite dried out. The shellfish were noticeably overcooked, and I had to peel the dried mussels out of their shells. The crab and grapefruit served with a tomato sauce was a risky choice for a starter, and unfortunately, it didn't pay off. I also ordered a £40 bottle of wine, which was decent, but the screw cap was a bit unappealing.

Upon arrival, I noticed a stale odor in the air. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was quite good. However, the decor felt worn and outdated. The restrooms had a smell reminiscent of a chip shop, and the hand towels were very old. My coat was returned to me smelling of grease, and it will definitely need to be dry cleaned. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

The menu here is always good, and offers a wide choice. With my party all the starters were declared to be excellent, while for the main course the Fish Pie was the most popular, while the meat dishes were also appreciated. Our wine choices were a white Rioja and a red Merlot, both of which we enjoyed. The proprietors are charming and can be relied upon for a friendly welcome.

This is my favourite Richmond restaurant. Easy access from the station and an amazing, friendly husband-wife team running it. They created our very own vegan, gluten-free menu at very short notice, and mixed us wonderful Dark 'n Stormy cocktails. Reserva una mesa ahora

As we three were the only ones dining on a Tuesday evening it lacked atmosphere and the portions were very very small. The food was good but tiny portions and had we been three men they wouldn't have been at all satisfied

Quality of food was more gastopub while the portion size of the meat and seafood was more fine dining. This was a shame because the wine was well priced and the service was so excellent.
