disappoint. have lived in the areas for 3 years and meaningfully try to support how the local businesses. you have to say that everything was a little tired and dated. very limited menu and the waiter had zero initiative and a modest bypass. my partner asked for various kartoffels to the maic with the lamb; his immediate blunt reaction was £3,50 extra for each side. the only steak was on a stone they cook at the table itself. I get a discount for cooking, his answer was reflected in the price. I asked if I cooked the steak from the chef and could pay something extra. No, we can't do this because we don't have the facilities, was the bizarre answer. a restaurant that can cook a steak! starters were poor, lamb was beautiful, huh was very poor and tiny. felt like left. not back. the owners should also teach the waiter some customer focus and take a look at what they are trying to achieve in 2018.

I love supporting local independent restaurants and so, I was really excited to spot the sign for The Canopy Restaurant as I drove through Epsom recently.
