It seems like this restaurant has undergone a change in ownership and/or management because we have dined here several times over the years with good service and food. However, our experience last night was absolutely terrible. Our server was rude and condescending, and it took 30 minutes to receive a drink (despite it not being very busy). My husband's food arrived cold and flavorless, so he chose not to eat it. The server's response was dismissive, stating, "well, didn't you know what you ordered." We were still charged for the meal and were overcharged for other items we had ordered. Despite multiple bill reprints from the manager, we decided to pay and leave, although we were clearly ove...
This place was recommended to me u0026 I am so grateful it was. They were able to give me a reservation on a Friday last minute for the time I requested u0026 sat me down as soon as I got in the door. The staff is friendly and our server Shawna went above and beyond to help us. Food was FANTASTIC that I had to obviously take a pizza home. Definitely hit the spot, I cannot wait to go back. I totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a great spot in Barrie.
Restaurant had a European feel. We were well tended to and never felt rushed to make room for the next customers. Megan, Courtney as well as our hostess and the other gentleman who helped were all so good. Atmosphere was good. Pasta a perfectly cooked. My wife really enjoyed her penne. My spaghetti bolonese was also good but I found it not meaty enough. I am picky. Lol. Wine pairings were good too. Would definitely return. Great views of Lake Simcoe too.
Great view of the water, delicious food, generous portions, attentive staff. I recommend the lamb shank , fall apart tender in a yummy reduction, creamy potatoes , really good and the salmon was done to perfection, lightly crisp on the outside and flaked apart. We absolutely adore this restaurant. We decided to treat our daughter and her boyfriend to a birthday dinner here. Our server, Janine, was fantastic and incredibly attentive. She even remembered our names! We all had a wonderful time, sharing a few laughs, and the food was just perfect. Rick, the chef, always delivers exceptional dishes and Janine went above and beyond to make sure we were pampered. We had a fantastic time.
The restaurant had a fantastic ambiance and excellent service. It was very lively and bustling. The food was just okay. I ordered the braised short rib pasta, but the pasta was slightly overcooked and there wasn't much short rib in the sauce. My wife tried the gorganzolla gnocchi, but she could hardly taste the gorganzolla in her dish. Overall, for a meal that cost over $100, it was merely average.
Everything was just ok. My tiny, tiny filet mignon was strangely cooked. Half well done half rare. My wife’s pasta was meh. The dance club music is not conducive to an Italian Bistro feel and the lights were too bright. Just all round mediocre. Also, online menu is not the same as the menu at the restaurant. You should fix that.
Thank you Rick and Tony for making dinner out with our friends a memorable experience! The pasta special, lamb chop, bruschetta, oysters, calamari and home/made gnocchi was outstanding. Fantastic meal with professional service. The staff were very helpful and very accommodating. The food was fabulous. The quality and servings were very good. The waiter was very professional and very attentive. This was my first time going to this establishment and I will return. Well done!
