I visited 1823 enc for the first time and was incredibly disgusted by the behavior of almost every employee. as a more enthusiastic traveler I have been in bars in the usa and the world and have never seen that coworkers abused and abused it 's patronen as bad as 1823 did. I went out at 1 hour to say goodbye to my friends. When I came back to the front, the bouncer was told me that there was no re-entry, unless they were with the stony brook group that had filled the club. Local supermarket with decent produce and selection. Good sales on excellent quality meats. In store and easily accessible butchers are happy to customize your meat selections. Once you get to know the store you'll find they carry a surprisingly eclectic selection of ethnic grocery items. Deli counter friendly staff with great selections of Boarshead and store brand cold cuts not to mention the store made salads (the anti pasta is my fave) Not a place to go for fresh seafood if this is your thing. So when you need to pick up a few things to complete your meal plan shopping list rest assured Meat Farms will have what you need and get you outa there quickly
I would suggest avoiding this place at all costs. The staff were rude and made me feel unwelcome, as if I owed them something just for being there. Additionally, there were very young patrons at the bar, so if you’re looking to socialize with adults, this isn’t the right spot. The bathrooms were unsanitary, and I felt like I was being pushed out by the staff. I’d much rather take the train to the city for a night out than return here.

On Friday after work, I visited the bar, but it only accepted cash. I was disappointed that we couldn't play a game of pool, and the bartender rushed us out. It seems like it's more of a bar for pool in the evenings, but we were the only customers there. The atmosphere could have been much more welcoming.
This is not a 4 star place at all, not when workers are packing out the lettuce and have snot dripping from their nose into the product. I literally left everything I had in my cart right there and walked out and I've been going there for 6 years never again now looking for a new place to get veggies.
I get all my fruit and vegetables over here because I can count on my produce not going bad on me 3 days after buying it. Their deli department is very friendly and the meat department is very friendly as well! This is a store where you can get your essentials for under $30.
I just had to take a minute to say how wonderful Virginia is the deli. She was so so so helpful and honestly just amazing. I needed a 4 ft hero for my sisters shower first thing Saturday AM and she went above and beyond. Absolutely exceptional customer service.

Cashiers always friendly. Produce department my favorite, great prices and selection. The store is always neat and organized.
I spent $32 on two drinks—tequila and pineapple—and I think the prices are quite steep.
