We ordered both starters and mains, and just five minutes later, an appetizer was brought to our table—much nicer than we had expected. After tasting the appetizer, we couldn't wait for the rest of our food. We both ordered the filet, and it was cooked to perfection. The sides, sauces, and everything that came with the meal were also delightful! From the very beginning, the dining experience was flawless. The drinks were fantastic, and the staff provided a level of service unlike anything we had ever encountered. It’s a quirky and unique restaurant, and we absolutely loved it! We will definitely return and would highly recommend everyone give this hidden gem a try!
We dined out for our special celebration, and what a delightful experience it was! Every dish we tried was truly delicious. The salmon, cream cheese, and caviar blinis were particularly flavorful, especially when paired with a glass of prosecco! The atmosphere in this historic building is stunning and elegant. We also appreciated the attentive service from Ethan, our waiter, who made us feel very special. Overall, it was an exceptional experience that is definitely worth a visit!
Our first visit yesterday to Restaurant 1840 following recommendation (a party of four). We were not disappointed. Restaurant 1840 is a real gem of place with food of the highest quality and an excellent menu. The service from the outset was outstanding. We were each delighted with our choice of dishes (lamb, belly pork, mushroom bourguignon and the goats cheese) all were superb. Thank you all for a fine dining experience all round. We will certainly be returning
a little late review, we ate and had Sunday lunch a few months ago this is a real gem for telford and the team are amazing with a big cook. josh. something different concept for Sunday dinner, but properly worked we will come back most def and would recommend. very easy to park and many open space in a unique environment that I especially liked the owners had used the old website as a church to paw etc. in furniture well made for the restorer, cu soon Reserva una mesa ahora
The restaurant has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The renovations have been beautifully executed, preserving the building's character. The food was absolutely exquisite; it was, without a doubt, the best meal I've ever had. The quality, presentation, and taste were top-notch—kudos to the chefs! We feel fortunate to have such a fantastic restaurant nearby. Thank you for a wonderful evening! I can’t recommend Restaurant 1840 highly enough.
Me and my Wife would like to thank Barry, Rebecca and all the staff for making our Wedding meal very special. We couldn’t have asked for more, the food and service were top class and everyone bent over backward to make our day special in such a beautiful setting. Thank you very much!
Amazing place to eat. Me and husband went on my birthday on 1st Feb. It was our first visit and I was just amazed at how beautiful it is. So many original features! The food was amazing, and the atmosphere perfect for a lovely romantic meal! Would recommend to anyone!
Our first visit last night and we really enjoyed it, the refurbishment of the church was lovely. The food was amazing great quality wonderfully cooked. Our waiter was just fantastic attentive without being intrusive. We shall be back and highly recommend Reserva una mesa ahora
