1861 Restaurant - Reserva de mesa

A real unexpected jewel in the countryside. On arrival we were made very welcome and comfortable while we waited for our table. The ambiance was great with a spacious room and unpressured serving. You could mix and match between the set menu and a la carte. The wild garlic risotto for starter was superb as was the cauliflower soup. The main course of red Grunard was solid but not spectacular but the shared desert selection was genuinely superb and worth the visit alone. This is a real treat and worthy of any special occasion or where you want to take someone special.

Well worth the cross country journey our SatNav took us. Warm welcome on arrival and lovely touches like amuse bouche and pre dessert palate cleansers. An innovative seasonal menu with the highlight being the shared dessert platter. A very reasonably priced wine list. Attentive and friendly waiting staff with nothing being too much trouble. Thoroughly enjoyable dining experience and looking forward to going back again.

It was our first time at this family run restaurant. Food was very tasty,looked good and tasted great. Not good value for money though,quite small portions at quite high prices. Restaurant and other areas need smartening up,lacks warmth and atmosphere.

I would highly recommend this restaurant but I will book directly with the restaurant next time not through this web site. We turned up and they had no reservation for us but lucky for us they were able to accommodate. Reserva una mesa ahora

The food was excellent. Each course you thought, it can 't get any better than this , then the next course would come and it was. Delicious.
