Before entering any establishment, I now check for mask requirements. I saw a sign indicating masks were needed, so I took one out of its protective bag and put it on. As I walked in, I noticed someone arranging items on the shelves, and I waited respectfully at the counter. I knew exactly what I wanted, having discovered it at this store a few years back.
Unfortunately, as soon as the staff member in an apron saw me, he didn’t greet me but instead said, “No, that won’t do. Your mask looks used.” I admit I had worn the mask once before, but it still seemed perfectly fine to me. I take care of it because you never know when you might need a mask again.

Living in Noe for an extensive time we wanted to support local shops, particularly during Covid. This shop makes the exception. Coarse, rude and vastly unhelpful. Worst is when you ask for certain cuts they butcher it (not in a good way). Sadly we've given up on this shop and prefer to get cuts at Whole Foods. At least there they are friendly, responsive and have a modicum of Customer Service. Perhaps 24th Street Cheese Co needs to hang it up and let others step in and make it what it should be....a great neighborhood charcuterie and cheese stop.
This store is disrupting the consumer food experience. Many people are missing the genius of the strategy, but if you think about it what they are doing here is revolutionary. What other store can you walk into and be promised you'll see some kind of altercation? The folks who work here have one of the funniest bits going, in which they try to test just how rude they can be to their customers. The cheese? It's alright. But the experience, while not for the faint of heart, is one that can't be replicated.

Great selection and very cute shop, but my two last experiences have been poor because of extremely rude service. In my last experience, I walked into the store finishing up a phone call with my mother. It was a very normal conversation and I soft spoken, so I was very surprised with the man behind the counter told me to leave as they do not allow talking on phones in the store. Very strange given this is so normal in todays age. I left and didn’t return. I will bring my business elsewhere from now on.
Before visiting the shop, we decided to take the cheesemaking tour, which was fascinating. We feel fortunate to have discovered this place. They offer the best cheese available, with a delightful range of flavors and sizes. The staff was consistently friendly, enhancing our experience. We make it a point to stop here every time we visit my mother's house. Looking forward to our next visit!
Whenever I go I get prompt, helpful, friendly, expert assistance. I appreciate the fact that the older man staff (owner? is nice but reserved not over the top hearty and all friendly which I find overbearing and obnoxious. It's more expensive than a supermarket but the variety and quality are much higher, and you're supporting a lovely local business instead of the Evil Empire.
Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. The lady behind the counter was super friendly and helped me decide between a couple wines. Perhaps the customers having bad experiences are demanding and rude themselves? The lady behind the counter was also super friendly to a family who was shopping when i was in there.
