"Love the little hole in the wall coffee shop. Phil is the best and the coffee is even better. Open at 5am and sometimes there is a queue "that is how good the coffee is". Very relaxed and great staff."

This cafe sells a great reusable coffee cup from the US. However, they had run out that time when I went there approx. 3 weeks ago. They didn't know when the next batch would arrive, so wrote up my details saying they would notify me. This has never happened. I went there today and it turned out the cups have arrived but the small ones were already sold out. They weren't very helpful. Apologising means nothing if the customer doesn't feel that they really want to help. They didn't know when they will get new cups again and they didn't ask for a phone number to notify me - probably wouldn't happen anyway.Very disappointed.
When on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, a popular espresso stop is "2kf". Busy, they have an orderly system for turning through the queue of loyalty clientele. Having previously enjoyed coffees from this location when visiting Mona Vale, I was surprised to receive a macchiato with curdled soy milk.Quickly offering a replacement, I was a little surprised - with a nonchalant comment, "Oh that's soy; it's used to bind cardboard."Nevertheless, the replacement was enjoyable.A quick side note: a search of the inter web reveals soy bean is used in a variety of utilitarian functions aside from food.
Located close to parking in the middle of Mona Vale on Sydney's Northern Beaches is a gem of a coffee shop.2kf is open from 5 am until 2.30 pm (except Sunday closes at 11.30 am)The staff are delightful and very efficient as it can be extremely busy with a queue outside. Coffee is the main focus, however, as a bonus, the homemade biscuites, excellent foccacia and toasted sandwiches are deliciously tasty.The coffee is made with love and care and consistantly excellent.There is internal and external seating. 2kf is open early so everyone can start their day with an excellent cup of coffee!
Fantastic coffee and a lot more! I enjoyed a tasty brunch of an egg and bacon roll with extras. The kids adored their croissants, toasties, and gorgeous hot chocolates. The staff were lovely and friendly. The restaurant is dog-friendly with a cozy atmosphere. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often!
