I was staying in a hotel nearby so I discovered the 2nd Street Cafe on Google and decided to give it a try. The couple taking orders couldn't be nicer and the Hungry Man sandwich is hard to describe... it's really good! I could swear the chef got all the ingredients he had in the kitchen inside it. It was very hard to eat the rest of the day because it was too much food. Prices were fair (specially considering the enormous amount of food you get) and they have a nice atmosphere. The pictures I've added don't show how good it was, but I definitely recommend having breakfast or lunch there.
This is a very nice, quaint coffee shop very close to Concordia University, Loyola Campus. Their breakfast menu is somewhat limited but they do carry a good assortment of muffins, cakes, and other treats. Prices are affordable and typical of the type of establishment. There is free WiFi, electrical outlets and a high desk for laptops. Service is very good! There is also outdoor seating and a bathroom. Perhaps their biggest selling point is their hot and cold beverages!!!. Their assorted is bound to please everyone!!! We will be certainly coming back!
Rude. I arrived at 7:02 am, the door was unlocked, so I assumed they were open. 30 seconds later a woman entered owner or worker), didn’t say hello or good morning, and lectured me for coming in when noone was there. I politely said I didn’t realize noone was there, and she cut me off saying “I assume you would know it’s not okay enter if noone was here.”. I turned around and left- lost a customer. Too bad because the food is probably good, but terribly impolite and rude.
This was the best breakfast we had in Boston. Fun little 'didn 't see you there ' restaurant with a solid menu and very friendly staff. Very healthy portions and wonderfully friendly staff. Clearly a popular spot with the locals as there was steady traffic of customers coming and going while we sat and enjoyed our breakfast.

Update: unfortunately just got the chicken melt and it wasn't great. Chicken was dry and rubbery, and it was missing the avocado which is a listed ingredient. Bummer. Honestly still in shock. Just went here today for the first time. A great sandwich for under $15 AND in Kendall Square/Cambridge? Amazing.
I had a breakfast sandwich here with my mother, well we were very lost in Boston on our trip. The sandwich was fantastic and the music playing inside the restaurant was was great as well. If I ever find myself in Boston again I'll definitely stop by.
Had lunch the cutest little place fast everything made from scratch great customer service just moved to the area definitely adding this spot to my list
Breakfast sandwich with bacon and avocado and homemade hot sauce on the side. Cooked perfectly. Absolutely delicious.

cute little cafe. went for breakfast. It's small, only a few tables but the food is good. Get the pancakes!
